Medical directives are a vital part of your estate plan and can make life much easier for your family members in the event of your incapacity. Recent studies show that more and more 30-40 year-olds are putting these documents into place so that their wishes are known. Still, 64 percent of the 18+ population does not have any estate planning documents in place. It’s never too early to plan for the future; in fact, it is recommended that once an individual is old enough to drive, they should have a medical directive in place.
